...for my Father, Matt Jackson
After Christmas and New Year's Eve, I've been very busy but I was able to work on a drawing for a special man. My father, Matthew Jackson.
Every year after Christmas and New Year's Eve, comes my father's birthday where he, me, my family and some friends will have the weekend to watch a Gloucester rugby game and go to have a party to celebrate. This year, before the big event I wanted to do a drawing for and a funny one at and then I started thinking of one of the movies we enjoy, one of them was James Bond in Goldfinger.
The drawing I thought of doing, was from one of the greatest scenes in that movie. I did the drawing, showed the idea to my mother, brother and his girlfriend they thought it was good work, but thought it was a bit too much because he wasn't well for over and a year and is in full recovery. So I had to work on different, that was based upon James Bond but a lot more funnier.
I decided work on a drawing from Austin Powers.
It was a bit difficult find a image good to draw for my father's birthday, but the one I picked from Austin Powers- Goldmember was a quote that we all and family-friends from holland find very funny.
It took a half the Christmas season to get it drawn and done, but it was worth the time and effort.
Progress of the drawing:
When my father's birthday finally came, I gave the drawing the to mother to give because I had to go work but, when we were all going to Gloucester to watch the rugby I was told from my mother that my father loved what I did for his birthday.
I might do another drawing for my father on his next birthday, but having the weekend off and going to a Gloucester rugby it ones best to spend time with my father and family on his birthday.
The final drawing:
For My brother David
My brother was away at work and going on holiday with his birthday coming up, so I get to work on a drawing to give him on that day. And this is what I thought of drawing for him on his birthday, from one of our favourite tv shows, Game of Thrones and his favourite character Tyrion Lannister.
The Original drawing
This is the original drawing of what I've done, combining the image from a comic and adding the table with wine cup and jug at the corner. This was all brilliant artwork I've done, but there were still one or things to go with it.
Final poster Design
I have been working on colouring and brightness/darkness on photoshop but some of the work didn't seem to go as I hoped so I sticked to the original adding a couple of bubble speeches. What I've written for my brother is, "Sit down, David Jackson... I'm going to need details about your name-day. Copious Details." Next was taking the artwork to a framing shop to it framed (which didn't take long before his birthday arrived). From watching the scene from Game of Thrones I thought it would be funnier if he had something to have, and in case no knows what name-day means, it's another word for Happy birthday.
The Best bit was when he got back I left the drawing on his bed in his bedroom for him to see and he love what I got him for his birthday. Next year I'm hoping spent time with for his next birthday.
