The Idea of this drawing, is something I kind of enjoyed. This was for my Uncle's girlfriend Olivia. When I spending time with nephew Milo watching some Thomas the tank engine with him, Olivia was sitting next to us and we both got talking about our favourite of Thomas (The Magic Railroad). At the start of summer it gave me an idea, I could work on drawing of one two characters from the movie and give it to her as a Christmas present. Reference of trains, trucks and Thomas and the Magic Railroad: Photos of Morecambe and Lancaster train station: For a start of the drawing taken a couple of photos for a background, so I go around two stations in Morecambe and Lancaster. Drawings of the train, trucks and conductor: Lady the Lost Engine: Break-van Truck: S.C.Ruffy the railway truck: Mr. Conductor: Morecambe and Lancaster Train Stations: I printed put the train station out first both in colour and black and white sets. In the colour set, I used tracing paper, drawing the details and, in the black and white set used some colouring pens and pencils, try something creative for Olivia. Photoshop Developments: I did all the drawings in several pieces to put them together with the photos of the train stations on photoshop. The idea for this drawing was from comics I've been reading. (Twilight: Graphic Novel- volume 1 and 2), every picture in the comics is digitally drawn and coloured, but the background look almost like it's been photographed first before been drawn so that was what I did for this drawing. Reference for Twilight Graphic Novel: First Designs: I worked on a few developments in several sets in a background, one- in photograph, two- in colour and drawn details, and three- in photograph and drawn details. The first work on all three seem to have work out okay, but with my brother's help telling me the drawing of Lady's back wheel is not matching the line of the tracks. After several attempts and adjustments I final able to get it right this time. Developments: And with a little talk with my brother, I have decided on which is the best one Olivia should for Christmas. On Christmas Day, I gave the drawing to her and she loved what I drawn for her. Final Design:
